Honeymoon study 2009
As part of our honeymoon study 2009 we have asked 108 couples who have celebrated their wedding in 2009 about honeymoon destinations and their preferences. We would like to thank all the participants.
Using the personal opinion of the respondents, a current overview of the topic honeymoon was created and mainly answers on the following questions were found:
- How many wedding couples go on honeymoon?
- What percentage of newlyweds take their honeymoon directly after the wedding?
- What are the most popular destinations?
- How many wedding couples ask for a wedding gift towards their honeymoon?
Results of the honeymoon study 2009
Based on the survey it was found that German wedding couples are world champions when it comes to honeymoons.
Because approximately 91% of the surveyed wedding couples who participated in the honeymoon study go on honeymoon.
In addition, 64% of the respondents indicated that they take their honeymoon within one month after the wedding.
Destinations in Asia (incl. Indian Ocean) and Europe were named the most popular destinations.
On average the couples spend around € 2913 for their honeymoon.
Furthermore, 37% of the respondents ask for a wedding gift towards their honeymoon.
