Our service team is happy to help with technical problems, but unfortunately we can not confirm a users eligibility to access a registry. If you don’t have a guest password for your couples registry, please contact the named contact person on your couple’s login-page. He or she will verify that you are a guest and will give you the password.

Simply select a gift from your couple’s registry, go to the button of the wishlist and click the “give gift” button. During checkout you will receive payment data for your gift.
Most gifts can be paid online using a credit or debit card. Some gifts might also be paid by wire transfer (bank transfer) or by bringing a cash gift to the wedding (widely accepted in many countries around the world).

YES. After you have selected one or more gifts, you should enter a short message for your couple. You will then receive an email with your gift and your message to the couple.
At the end of the process, you will be shown a gift certificate for your individual gift. You can print this gift certificate or save it to your computer.

YES. The couple receives an email notification for every gift made. In addition, wedding couples have a list of all gifts and the names of the guests who gave them to them in their honeywish account.

Please do not forget to pay your gifts. Since payments are not collected by honeywish, but go directly to the couple, we can neither verify that your payment has been received nor remind you of a missed payment. And it would be most unfortunate if your gift does not reach the couple.

The honeywish wedding registry works like wish list. It makes gift giving for all involved easy and fun.
The couple states their dreams and wishes, and every guest can easily select a certain wish he or she wants to sponsor. Because not all wishes (e.g. for a dream honeymoon) can be bought and paid in advance, honeywish sets up a transfer of funds to realize the wishes. A voucher or gift certificate binds the recipient to a particular merchant or network of merchants. Also, vouchers and gift certificates are not available for every wish the couple might have. With a honeywish bridal registry, the couple can ask for anything they might wish for and you can be sure your gift will be much appreciated.

How do I create a wedding registry?
Sign up for a honeywish user account. Enter for your email address and password. Follow the link in the confirmation e-mail you’ll receive, and create your wedding registry with the help of adaptable sample registries or create your registry from scratch.
Do I need computer skills to create a wedding registry?
You should know how to operate a computer and surf the internet. Programming skills are not required.
Can I add items to my registry even after I activated it for guest access?
YES, you can always come back and add more gifts.

Do I have to use one of the wedding registry samples?
NO. The use of our sample wedding registries makes it easier to create your personal wedding registry. All samples can be easily adapted and will help you to create your individual wedding registry in no time. However, if you prefer to start your registry from scratch, you are welcome to do that, too.
Are prices on the sample registry real prices?
NO. The prices on the sample registries are estimates of the honeywish service staff. Prices are average prices for the gift. Real may vary.
Do we have to state real prices on our wedding registry?
NO. You can base prices for your gifts on the prices of the sample registries. However, we recommend setting a slightly higher price than you expect the gift to be. This way it is ensured that the gift amount will cover the cost of the gift.

Setting up a honeywish wedding registry is free.
Activation of your wedding registry for guest access is a low one time service fee of UK£45,-/US$69,-

Our service fee is waived for couples who book their honeymoon through honeywish or a honeywish partner.
Are there any fees on the gifts collected?
Not necessarily. Guests may wire transfer funds directly to your own bank account or simply bring cash to your wedding (by now acceptable in most countries).
If you prefer to receive credit card payments, you can easily link your PayPal account to your honeywish wedding registry. PayPal charges its usual fees for this service:

How do I get the money for the gifts of my guests?
With honeywish all payments for gifts go directly and instantaneously to the bride and groom. This way you get the money immediately, and usually even before the wedding.
Within your honeywish wedding registry, we provide your guests with the necessary payment data and technical interfaces to directly pay for your gifts.
What Payment options do guests have?
The bridal couple decides which payment options to offer to guests. You can choose to offer credit card, debit card and PayPal payments – or offer your guests to pay by wire transfer or even bring cash to the wedding.
In most countries, wire transfers won’t cost you or your guests a penny. If you want to enable your guests to pay using their credit card or debit card, you can easily link your PayPal account to your honeywish weedding registry. Credit and debit card payments will then be processed by PayPal and will be credited directly to your personal PayPal account. Guests do not even have to have a own PayPal account in order to pay for your gifts. PayPal charges ist usual service charges on all payments that are processed through PayPal.
Do I need a PayPal account?
NO, even if you do not have a PayPal account you can use a honeywish registry. You will be able to receive payments by wire transfer. If you want to enable your guests to pay using their credit or debit card, you need to sign up for a free PayPal website
account on the PayPal website, first.
How much does it cost to receive payments through PayPal?
Linking your PayPal account with your honeywish registry is free. However, PayPal will charge you for every gift that is payed using their service. PayPal charges vary from country to country. In the US, PayPal fees are 2.9% + $0.30 USD (date: 20/12/2010) . For PayPal fees in your country, please check the PayPal website

How can I make sure every guest pays for his gift?
Because all gift amounts go directly to you, you have to check yourself, whether you have received a payment or not.
We send you an email confirmation for every gift made. Additionally, you can view a list of all guests and their gifts in your honeywish Gift Manager . Here you can see the amount of the gift, the payment option selected and check off every guest, whose payment you have received. This way you can easily keep track of your gifts payments.
A few days before the wedding, check your Gift Manager and see which payments are still open. You can send classy reminder emails from our system, which will remind your guests of any forgotten payment.

What should we keep in mind when inviting our guests?
For security reasons, guest have to know a guest password in order to get access to your registry. If you do not use our email invitations to invite your guests, please make sure guest know the password. Otherwise, guests can’t access your wedding registry.
How can I let my guest know tastefully that I have a registry with honeywish?
If you have a wedding website (there are a number of free services in most countries), a personal website or blog, you can link or directly embed your whole honeywish registry there. If you want to embed your whole registry, please find the copy & paste code to do so under My honeywish
What’s the best way to say Thanks for my gifts?
Write personal Thank You cards to your guests and thank every guest individually for the gift received. You can find a list of all guests and their gifts in the Gift Manager of your honeywish user account.
If you have received a gift for your honeymoon, you can take pictures of every gift (or the two of you enjoying it) and include them in your Thank You card.

Why do I have to specify our wedding date?
In order to ensure top performance of our service, we need to remove old registries from our database (we usually do this 6 month after the wedding). Therefore it is important for us to know your wedding date. If you need to you can change your wedding date directly in your user account under Edit Account
>strong> Why should I name a contact person for our registry?
Our service team is happy to help your guests in case of technical problems. However, important questions of your guests, e.g. regarding your wedding or your gift preferences our team will be unable to answer. Also, in the event that a guest does not have the guest password at hand, our team can not verify the person’s legitimacy to access your registry. Therefore it is important that you name a contact person (e.g. someone in the wedding party) and equip him or her with a guest list. This way your contact person can provide eligible persons with the password.
Why should I provide my PayPal and bank information?
Your PayPal and bank information allows your guests to pay gifts directly to you.
Of course you don’t need to leave your account information if you don’t want to. Please keep in mind that if you neither provide bank nor PayPal information, your guest can only pay gifts in cash, usually by bringing cash to the wedding.
We only collect your bank account and PayPal data once you have decided to use your honeywish registry for your wedding. Our system is SSL encrypted and your registry protected by a password. This ensures that only you and your guests will have access to your data.
